Reco-Vie can take the full range of computer equipment, and all other waste IT equipment as designed in Category 3 of the WEEE Directive.
This includes, PCs, copiers, phones, mobiles, facsimile machines, answerphones and dictaphone etc. We make standard charges for recycling all types of monitors, including Flat Screen Monitors. All other waste category 3 wastes are taken to one of several processing facilities where we achieve significant rates of recycling of the order of 90-95% of the materials recovered for re-sale into secondary markets.
We are also equipped to take all types of mainframes, serves and associated cabling and telephone exchanges, which are also fully recycled.
Where more recent equipment is concerned and clients may suggest that the equipment may have some residual value, we are pleased to offer asset management services for larger loads of equipment. If the equipment is suitable, this will be refurbished, cleaned and harddrives professionally wiped and any residual data destroyed. This equipment can then be resold into the marketplace, covering the costs of recycling any associated defunct equipment and returning some income to the client. All such services are fully documented and WEEE compliant.
We also have facilities for recovering precious metals from PCBs, and for decontaminating specialised equipment, where required. We can also arrange for data secure hard disk destruction.
